How it works

Found, welded and tested

  1. 1

    Walk in

Come to our Congleton workshop any time 10am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Want to check first? Send us a photo.

  2. 2

    Tyre off, crack inspected

Cracks are often on the inside of the rim where you can't see them. With the tyre off, we find the crack and check it's safe to repair.

  3. 3

    Welded, tested, refitted

Our alloy welding is done with TIG, then the wheel is pressure tested, refitted and balanced.

Our process

Welded, then tested. Not just sealed.

Tyre sealant and patches won't fix cracked alloy wheels. Cracked alloy wheel welding is the proper fix: we TIG weld the crack, then pressure test the wheel before it goes back on your car.

Questions

Before you come in

Is wheel welding safe?

Every wheel is inspected first. Cracks we can repair safely are TIG welded and pressure tested. If a crack isn't safe to repair, we'll tell you and advise on replacement.

I'm losing air but can't see a crack

Cracks are often on the inside of the rim where you can't see them from outside. We find them with the tyre off.

Do I need to book?

No. Crack repairs are walk-in: come any time 10am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What's included in the £96?

Inspection, TIG welding, pressure testing, and taking the tyre off and refitting it with balancing. The price is per crack.

Is there a warranty?

No. A repaired wheel can be damaged again by the next pothole, so we don't offer a warranty on crack repairs.

Can you come to me?

From 26 October, yes: £96 plus a £60 call-out Monday to Friday (£120 out of hours and weekends). Never on a motorway.
